On the North Side of Grand Cayman near Rum Point, the beach takes about an hour to get to by car from The Residences of Seven Mile Beach. Another great way to experience this unique spot is to charter a boat! You and the kids will love exploring the island from the sea, plus it makes it easier to spot the starfish. Don’t forget the snorkeling gear!
What is the Cayman Turtle Conservation and Education Centre?
Known as the Cayman Islands’ most popular tourist attraction, The Cayman Turtle Centre: Island Wildlife Encounter (previously Cayman Turtle Farm) is a research and conservation facility, and a tourist attraction. An article published in 2021 in Frontiers in Marine Science credits the Cayman Turtle Centre in part for the increased number of wild sea turtle nests on the Cayman Islands in recent decades.

There are two tours available at the Cayman Turtle Centre. Book your tour through their website or let your concierge get tickets for you. The Turtle Safari allows you to see where the turtles are bred, meet the 9-foot crocodile named Smiley, wade in the water with the turtles, visit the education centre, and more! Is Starfish Point or Cayman Turtle Centre Best for Me?
If you’re looking for something close to The Residences Located at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, The Cayman Turtle Cantre is a quick 10-minute drive from the resort. You’ll also get more structure with the tours. If you’d prefer creating your own adventure, Starfish Point makes for a great day on the Islands. You can drive out there or take a boat and make a whole day of exploring Grand Cayman. However, we recommend doing both attractions if you get the chance!
