Here’s an idea. Instead of fighting frigid temps and freezing snow at home, come to our place for Christmas!
Celebrate with us and share the Cayman Islands’ warm and welcoming hospitality. You’ll enjoy an amazing family vacation in the heart of the tropical Caribbean…with warm sun-drenched days. Starry nights. Palm-fringed sands. Shimmering sapphire waters.
And the only blanket of white you’ll see is on our beautiful ivory beaches!
Inviting as that picture may be, though, the Holidays on Grand Cayman are more than just sun and sand. Grand Cayman celebrates the season with a Caribbean flair all its own that includes festive family-oriented events, as well as extravagant Christmas decorations and lights Island-wide.
Surprisingly, December kicks off with…wait for it…Thanksgiving! Yes, the Islands have their own unique Cayman Thanksgiving—an inclusive celebration that provides visitors and residents alike a chance to experience and give thanks for the Island’s heritage and culture. This year, the weekend-long event takes place December 6–7, beginning with Music & Market at The Grounds, a combination of live music and the freshest Cayman cooking and produce.
For the athletically inclined, the Cayman Islands Marathon will sprint through Georgetown on December 7th. And Gimistory, a unique storytelling festival that begins in late November is still going strong through December 6th.
At the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, the Holiday celebrations are, not unexpectedly, as opulent as the Five Diamond resort itself. From extravagant Gingerbread House workshops to the ultimate Christmas Champagne Brunch to a festive Gift of Giving Tea, Christmas at the Resort is simply fabulous. There are plenty of family-friendly activities, as well, including a Children’s Buffet and Movies Under the Stars and casual Beachside Cabana Dinners for the whole family. And while mom and dad are ringing in the New Year in sophisticated style at Blue by Eric Ripert or with the New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Ballroom, the kiddos can count down to fun with the trained naturalists at Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment.

The bottom line? Who needs snow. Make it a Cayman Christmas and celebrate sand, surf, sun and Santa Claus in one of the world’s prettiest places!
