Tennis in the Caymans
Nick Bollettieri is the coach behind tennis greats like Andre Agassi, Monica Seles, and Maria Sharapova. He created a custom tennis program for The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, staffed by professionals trained at his Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida. The Courts at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman consists of three red clay courts and two hard courts. The facility also features a separate backboard area and the island’s only tennis apparel and equipment shop.
The Courts’ tennis programming features professional instruction for all ability levels and ages. Adult beginner tennis programs are a great way to learn the fundamentals of the game in a supportive environment. The program provides junior tennis programs for ages six to 16 are weekly, along with mini-tennis for kids ages four to six. The facility also offers a unique cardio tennis class for adults, monthly Super-Saturday tennis camps for kids, and custom-designed clinics for families and groups with Bollettieri-style drilling, technical instruction, and match play.
Kids Night Out at The Courts
What could be better than tennis, pizza, and movies? The obvious answer: combining them all! That’s the genius of the Kids Night Out. This fun evening starts out with one hour of tennis mini-matches and instruction for young tennis enthusiasts with the pros at The Courts in partnership with IMG Academy. That’s followed by a scrumptious pizza dinner at Periwinkle and capped off with an open-air movie screened outside the restaurant. Kids Night Out happens on Fridays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
