A Most Eggs-travagant Easter
You’ll find lots of fantastic events happening over Easter in the Cayman Islands. This year Easter falls on Sunday, April 5th. Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays, so residents enjoy a lovely long weekend in Cayman, and you’re invited to celebrate with them!
The Ritz-Carlton holds several fun events over the Easter weekend including an Easter Bunny Tea that children love and a Taittinger Champagne Easter Brunch where adults can enjoy bottomless champagne. Visit The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman website for more details.
Another great family fun event—and long-time Caymanian tradition—is Kitefest. Bring your own kite or buy one at the festival for fun-filled activity and a chance to experience a bit of Caribbean culture. A kite shop selling a limited selection of kites will be available at the festival. Other entertainment includes a bouncy castle, paddleboarding, kayaking and kiting tricks and kite gear demos by kiteboarders from The SweetSpot.
Local maritime and holiday traditions will also meet over the Easter Weekend when the Cayman Catboat Club gears up for the 8th Annual Cayman Catboat Easter Regatta on Easter Saturday. You can watch the parade of heritage single-mast sailboats from the beach at The Residences.
